What is a druid?

A druid is any Earthling who chooses to follow the guidance of the Sagely Codes for the Modern Druid. They may practice individually, as part of a grove, or in some other way.

EarthGrove encourages all druids to participate in SunFleet’s Summer Solstice FAIRY Festival, submit sections of their Living Tome to be archived within the StarBloom repository, & eventually be ordained as an ArcDruid, but none of this is necessary to access all the knowledge & information we have to offer about how to best follow the codes.

What are the codes?

  • Practice mindfulness, maintain a positive attitude, & never panic.
  • Take copious notes in a notebook or journal.
  • Throw the party you want to crash & advocate for everyone who needs it.
  • Exercise every day.
  • Critically analyze every situation & opportunity.
  • Understand cultural awareness & authentic self-expression.
  • Help foster & otherwise care for all children & lost adults.
  • Be a Jules-of-all-Trades handyperson.
  • Study nootropics & share them.

What is a Living Tome?

A personal journal kept by each druid that documents their exploration, study, & understanding of the codes meant to be a reference guide for one’s self & all other druids.

This should include many resources, personal media, art, anecdotes, experiences, lessons, edutainment, stories, music, metaphors, curriculum, digital files, etc, & more that you find related to each of the codes.

The methods & organization are up to the individual druid to decide. They can be a simple notebook, a handcrafted masterpiece, wholly digital files, or anything else. If using traditional paper, removable pages are suggested, or consider regularly changing to a new notebook.

Druids should submit the best sections of their personal Living Tomes to EarthGrove annually before the Summer Solstice. They can keep the originals and send high-quality photographs and/or scans and/or share any other digital files and/or present their Living Tome online and/or in-person at the FAERY Festival.

EarthGrove ArcDruids choose the best submissions to be archived within the StarBloom repository.

What is the StarBloom repository?

The StarBloom repository is a knowledge database containing druid research on the codes in the form of Living Tome sections submitted at the Summer Solstice & archived by ArcDruids.

There is no fixed method for being archived in the StarBloom repository; druids can showcase their understanding through various means; contemporary knowledge is ever-evolving.

EarthGrove hopes to collect information in the StarBloom repository and disseminate it in ways that empower people around the world(s) to improve their community.

How do I start my own grove?

A grove is a group of druids with a shared goal and/or function, literally anything, working together to fulfill their collective purpose and offer a supportive environment to collaborate & learn from one another. Any group of druids may form a grove with a clearly defined purpose.

Groves should feature decentralized leadership, pollinated knowledge, diffused responsibility, & shared resources, focusing on improving communication, diversity, & creativity. An ideal grove brings new druids into EarthGrove to help with their cause, improving everyone’s relationship with the codes. Popular established groves may receive additional assistance from EarthGrove’s currently tiny & limited partners.

What this means is that you are welcome to declare yourself a druid and form a local grove dedicated to helping a cause important to you in your community and you can count on having the full backing of EarthGrove’s druids, resources, & knowledge.

We hope that you will learn much along the way to share with us at the next Summer Solstice.

How do I become an ArcDruid?

The path to becoming an ArcDruid is simple: you must have a Living Tome submission accepted into each section of the codes in the StarBloom repository.

This nonlinear journey of personal growth lacks rigid order of instruction, similar to unschooling. Exploring the codes in a way that resonates with your interests & aspirations is unique to the individual that embarks upon it. May you have long days & pleasant nights.
